DESCRIPTION
The Series 2010 Residential Ice Maker Filter is the ideal choice for the
kitchen, providing great-tasting, healthy ice cubes for all your cold
beverages. When attached to a refrigerator with an ice maker, the 2010
filters all the water before it enters the unit. The patented dual-media
filtration removes or reduces most EPA primary contaminants, including
lead, chlorine and bad taste and odor. The included instructions and parts
provide a simple installation to existing tubing. The filter media has
a three (3) year life expectancy.
For refrigerators equipped with a built-in chilled water dispenser and
a large, thirsty family, we recommend our Series
2012 to reduce the chances of overloading the filters flow rate and/or
capacity.
FILTER MEDIA DESCRIPTION
The patented redox media Eaglyte combines
with granular activated coconut shell carbon providing a long life drinking water system. In the first
stage, the Eaglyte media removes or reduces inorganics such as lead and other heavy metals on the EPA
contaminant list, a function which carbon alone cannot do. The Eaglyte also retards bacteria growth in
the filter. In the second stage, volatile organic chemicals such as
TTHM's, chlorine and
organic chemicals, bad taste and odors
are removed by adsorption into the bed of granular activated carbon. Finally, Eaglyte filtration
systems leave in the healthful minerals found in natural spring water.
