DESCRIPTION
The Series 2031 features an attractive spigot for those who wish to have
a separate, dedicated "spring water" supply. This inexpensive
unit is an excellent selection for small households. The patented dual-media
filtration removes or reduces most EPA primary contaminants leaving premium
lead, chlorine and odor-free water. Use for drinking and cooking without
the cost and inconvenience of bottled water. With the Series 2031 installed,
only the filtered water passes though the dedicated faucet making it easy
for everyone to use. The filter element is installed in the plumbing below
the sink.
FILTER MEDIA DESCRIPTION
The patented redox media Eaglyte combines with granular
activated coconut shell carbon providing a long life drinking water system. In the first stage, the Eaglyte media
removes or reduces inorganics such as lead and other heavy metals on the EPA contaminant list, a function which
carbon alone cannot do. The Eaglyte also retards bacteria growth in the filter. In the second stage, volatile organic
chemicals such as TTHM's, chlorine and
organic chemicals, bad taste and odors are removed by
adsorption into the bed of granular activated carbon. Finally, Eaglyte filtration systems leave in the healthful
minerals found in natural spring water.
